The nationally recognized Mummies of the World exhibition will make its Intermountain Region debut at The Leonardo, a contemporary museum fusing science, technology and creativity, on Saturday, February 16, 2013. The presentation in Salt Lake City will mark the seventh stop of the exhibition’s exclusive three-year tour of the United States.
The Leonardo is honoring military personnel, veterans and their families with free entry and special pricing this weekend, Friday, Aug. 24 through Sunday, Aug. 26. All active military personnel and veterans can enjoy The Leonardo for free. Their immediate family members can enter for just $5 for the entire group. Family members of deployed soldiers will also receive free entry. Guests can present ID or deployment papers at the ticket desk for free entry and discounts.
The Leonardo will present Da Vinci – The Genius for a limited engagement beginning on Friday, Sept. 28. The exhibit is presented by Merit Medical Systems Inc. and Zions Bank.
The Leonardo will offer discounted pricing, as well as free activities during this year’s Utah Arts Festival.
Utahns will have the rare chance to touch a nearly 4-billion-year-old piece of moon rock at NASA’s Driven to Explore traveling exhibit, a multimedia experience that immerses visitors in the story of NASA. The exhibit will be at The Leonardo at 209 East 500 South in downtown Salt Lake City on Friday, May 25 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday, May 26, 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
